Sri Gurukulam Senior Secondary School, Nallur

The trust has established a secondary school at Nallur,which is situated at 8Kms away from Hosur bus stand. The school is well connected by roads from Hosur, Bagalur, Sarjapur and Attibele, adjoining a mega residential layout at Kalahasthipuram. The school has an excellent infrastructure and facilities for sports and academic activities for 2000 students. An equal priority is given to Sports, Art & Craft, Martial arts, Silambam, Agriculture along with academics.

• Our laboratories are well equipped withstate-of-the-art scientific and modern equipment facilities for Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Math and Computer Science. Our laboratories are designed in such a way to inculcate inquisitiveness among the students to do research and innovate.
• ICT (Information and Communications Technology) -The contemporary computer centre is the cynosure of Sri Gurukulam Secondary School. We have full-fledged computer lab with ample number of computers and other allied facilities. Our dedicated and trained professionals guide the students through practical applications of computer science with the help of learning tools.
• A well stacked library with 5000 books enriched with Kindle (e-books).A good number of journals and periodicals are subscribed for the benefit of the students and staff.The Reference Section has a variety of standard encyclopedias, dictionaries and standard reference books on almost all topics at the school level. Internet connection is operational in the school library and students are allowed to use this facility on any day. The library is enriched every year and replenished with new volumes of books, magazines, journals, periodicals and latest reference materials to keep in pace with the rest of the world.

  • Art & Craft -“Art is as natural as sunshine and as vital as nourishment.” Students learn various kinds of arts like drawing, painting, carving, clay modelling. Pottery classes are also conducted once a week where students learn to make pots, vases, lamps etc using clay with a special trainer to nurture their creativity.
  • Martial art –“Martial art should be the part of every students’ education”. Martial arts like Karate and Taekwondo is being taught to the students to empower their self-confidence, mental and spiritual development.
  • Music -“The only truth is music.” Classical and instrumental music is taught to the students with the special trainers.
  • Linguistic Club – Communication plays vital role in every students life, this club helps the students to develop their communication skill.

• Transportation -“Vehicles are one of the best modes of transportation.” School provides transportation facilities all over the town and the nearby villages in and around Hosur. All the buses are provided with GPS / RFID through which the information about the students’ travel details is communicated to the parents.
• Food and Dining – School has a canteen facility for the staff and students. Nutritious and hygienic food is prepared with the organic vegetables grown in the campus and served every day. Our menu is a combination of both South Indian and North Indian dishes considering the hygiene and health.
• Skill Development Centre (SDC) –“Bring diversity back to agriculture. That’s what made it work in the first place.” The school provides an excellent opportunity for the students to learn farming practices in our farm land. We also have special trainers to inculcate the farming skills to the students. School has also taken an initiative to introduce apiculture and mushroom cultivation to the students.
