“Education is a natural process spontaneously carried out by the human individual and is acquired not by listening words but by experiences upon the environment”
-Maria Montessori
Saadhana is the brain child of two decades of experience of Smt.R. Sarojamani and Sri. M.R. Mohan Sundar to give a holistic approach in pre-primary education. Synonymous with its name the programme involves more of practice than of rote learning.
Saadhana is the integration of Montessori method of learning and the need of preparedness of a child to face contemporary challenges in the existing Boards of education. It is designed for 3 years, a student of 2 years of age as on 1st June of the academic year is eligible for level 1, students of 3+ and 4+ years of age are eligible for level 2 and level 3 respectively.
Our Gurukulam is following CBSE curriculum in its primary and secondary classes.
At our Gurukulam we aim at keeping the intellect and senses alive. The children will be exposed to a wealth of experiences, many of which are linked with nature. These include swimming, gardening, cooking, drama, pottery, art, craft, nature walks, bird watching, astronomy [sky gazing], traveling together, reciting and listening to poems, house keeping, marital arts [karate] and a lot more.
An important aspect of our curriculum will be he dialogue and group discussion classes, where small groups of Teachers and Students explore together the possibility of watching one’s fear, joy, anger, greed, hurt and so on with a sense of open curiosity, rather than of judgement.
Our children will be moulded by creating opportunities to learn most of the concepts by experience ,in simple learning by doing. They move from hands on constructive experiences to rigorous and abstract analysis.
The students will be given training to participate in Academic and Sports activities for school level, State level and National level competitions being conducted by Govt. and renowned research Institutions like Indian Institute of Science, NCERT etc...
Our Gurukulam has been upgraded to admit students of senior secondary classes for the academic year 2019-20.
"Our motto is to empower the taught with a disciplined freedom to enquire and experience by enriching the resources and opportunities for enlightenment"
